Nursing Workload: Direct and Indirect Care Practices: Descriptive, Cross-Sectional Research

Objective: Workload is a multidimensional and complex concept that determines the nurse's performance quality of care. In this study; it was aimed to determine how workload nurses working in internal surgical clinics A1 training research hospitals distributed between direct care indirect practices, much time allocated which practices form basis for relevant clinical nurse employment according obtained data. Material Methods: The data devised collection study data, prepared within framework job descriptions Annex 3 Nursing Regulation result brainstormings from daily patient experiences health services unit supervisors, special branch nurses, responsible line with literature as ten sub-titles total 51 questions. Evaluation made on 54 forms, forms werw filled by who performed application. Results: spent one-to-one such interventional applications, external diagnosis & treatment, educational activities, emergencies drug administration 3,853 minutes. consultation, registration, pharmacy transactions, non-clinical transactions 1,239 Conclusion: Of recorded 33,480 minutes 17,338 (51.7%) were 5,575 (16.6%) practices.
